Is the consultation actually free?
Yes — completely free. No credit card required to book. No commitment to enroll afterward. The 45-minute session covers a body composition and movement assessment, a walkthrough of what your custom training plan would look like, and full pricing transparency. If we're a fit you can sign up; if not, you walk away with a clearer picture of what your goal actually requires.
How much does training cost after the consultation?
Train With Dave programs average $60 to $80 per session — that price includes your fully customized workout plan, personalized nutrition and caloric intake plan, a training app with your full solo-day program (workouts with video demos, sets, reps, rest, and weights), and direct trainer access between sessions. Most clients train 2 to 3 sessions per week. We'll walk you through which package fits your goal during the consult.
Will you try to hard-sell me?
No. The consultation is a real conversation about whether we're the right fit for your goal. We've worked with 1,000+ Orange County clients and are not interested in convincing skeptics — we'd rather coach motivated people. If you decide it's not for you, that's a fine outcome and you keep the plan and assessment data either way.
Can I bring my spouse or partner?
Yes — and we actively encourage it. The toughest decision happens when you walk out of the consult, go home, and try to explain the value to a partner who never met us, never saw the gym, and only sees the price. Bring them along. Let them see the studio, ask their own questions, and make the call together. It usually shortens the decision by days. Couples training together also unlock a partner rate, which we'll walk through during the consult.
Where is the consultation held?
In-person at one of our three Orange County studios — Orange, Irvine, or Laguna Hills — or via video call if that's more convenient. You'll choose your preference when booking. We serve all of Orange County including Anaheim, Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Costa Mesa, and Huntington Beach.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself, comfortable clothes, and any past blood work, body composition results, or training history if you have it (helpful but not required). For video consults, just a phone or laptop. We provide everything else.

What if I'm completely new to working out?
Most of our clients start at zero. Every program is built around your current fitness level — not a generic template. The movement screen during the consult shows us where to start safely. There's no fitness prerequisite; we work with retirees, busy parents, post-injury rebuilders, and complete beginners every week.
